  • This survey has been commissioned by The Workers’ Action Network of Newfoundland and Labrador.

  • This survey will poll key issues faced by workers who make under $20 an hour in Newfoundland and Labrador, and those workers who face precarious employment.

  • The responses, collectively, will be used to determine key areas of focus for future advocacy campaigns and organizing objectives.

  • The optional individualized responses will be used to create awareness around the issues faced by those in low-wage, precarious work.

  • Your responses are completely anonymous.

  • If any questions on the survey do not pertain to your type of employment, simply select “other” or "not applicable" when available.

What do we mean by 'precarious employment'? While there is no legal definition, the term precarious is used to refer to a type of work that is poorly paid, unprotected, and insecure.
